Discussing the role of emerging technologies in the future of agriculture, right in the heart of the American Midwest, was the purpose of the WHIN 2025 Ag Summit, held on August 12 at the Beck Agricultural Center in West Lafayette, Indiana (USA). Organized by the Wabash Heartland Innovation Network (WHIN), the event brought together farmers from different regions, researchers, representatives from leading agribusiness companies, and AgTech startups, consolidating itself as one of the most relevant spaces for knowledge exchange between those who produce and those who develop technological solutions for the field.
With more than 120 registered participants—including farmers, community leaders, financial institutions, and agricultural science experts—the 2025 edition stood out for its practical approach. Presentations and panels sought to answer a central question: how can digital innovations, especially those powered by artificial intelligence, become truly accessible and effective for farmers of different profiles and regions?
DigiFarmz among the invited startups
DigiFarmz joined the program as one of the startups selected to present during the partner technology pitch sessions organized by WHIN. Throughout the day, CEO Alex Chequim represented the company in interactions with farmers and industry professionals, highlighting how artificial intelligence—combined with DigiFarmz’s proprietary database and algorithms, refined over more than 20 years of research and mathematical modeling—supports the development of agriculture that is more profitable, sustainable, and tailored to the reality of each farm.
“The WHIN Ag Summit is a strategic space to engage directly with farmers who are interested in data-driven, AI-powered solutions. For us, it is essential to demonstrate how DigiFarmz transforms agronomic, climate, and crop management data into practical technical recommendations that help protect yields and increase farm profitability,” Alex emphasized.

Innovation applied to the farmer’s reality
During the event, DigiFarmz presented its main areas of focus in the North American market. The company’s initial emphasis has been on disease management, where it has already demonstrated proven results in preventing yield losses. Building on this foundation, new features are being developed to support different stages of crop management.
One of DigiFarmz’s main differentiators is the use of artificial intelligence built upon a proprietary database and algorithms developed through more than 20 years of field research. This framework is structured in two complementary layers: the first, focused on personalization, analyzes the specific characteristics of each farm to provide tailored recommendations. The second is centered on communication, with an intelligent agent that interacts naturally with farmers and agronomists, making information more accessible and encouraging the adoption of technology in daily farm operations.
In addition to startup pitches, the event featured panels and discussions on the challenges of AI adoption in agriculture, such as costs, connectivity, and technical support, as well as the importance of transparency and data privacy.
By participating in the WHIN 2025 Ag Summit, DigiFarmz strengthens its presence in the North American agricultural ecosystem, building connections with farmers, investors, and strategic partners across the region.
